2022 Fall Muster Side Trips Thread

My buddy @Rick Featherston is attending the Annual Jefferson Civil War Symposium next weekend. The following Monday, we will begin discussing what he might want to do for side trips. It will be time to start having that discussion. There are so many options.
Dang is that next weekend? I was gonna drive over there and me and Tom head to Bossier City for a gunshow.

OK Folks, here the tread for all side trips during the upcoming Fall Muster at Stones River/Franklin Oct. 7-9 2022. Keep in mind the Official Muster starts at 12:00 Noon on the 7th and will run well into the afternoon of the 9th. Please use this tread for all side trip talk. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Oct.
I'm taking vacation Wednesday-Sunday and will probably leave around sunrise putting me in Murfreesboro around noontime. Up for any side trips. PM for phone number when the date gets close.

Noontime Wednesday?

Spring Hill Cemetery at sunrise is a fun trip. So is an early morning walk up the long slope in Spring Hill.

I am fairly new to CWT (since Dec ) and this is my first muster, so looking forward to meeting all. I arrive Wed about noon and leaving tuesday morning. Although I am a newbie/unknown, would love to hook up for trips to Sring Hill and or fort Negely. I am renting a compact, would be happy to carpool with someone or drive as needed. Let me know if a new guy can join in

Of course you can, PJ! It took me a second to realize who you were! I get there Tuesday and go home on Monday. Did you register at the top for lunch and such?

It will be great to see everyone. I'll be there by dinnertime Wednesday, staying until Sunday afternoon. I'm visiting my kids first and driving over from Mountain City TN. I'm planning a stop in Greenville on the way to see John Hunt Morgan's death site. I reenact with a group that honors his unit.

You will thoroughly enjoy it. My current plan is to arrive on Noon Wed as well. Then I will link up and either carpool with others or take my car. You will find a ride for sure. Don't worry.

I can't stay for the Carnton, Carter House on Sunday because I have to fly home. I'm going to try to get there early enough on Wednesday to tour Carter/Carton on my own. I was there in 2016 but I'd like to see it again. Please let me know if any early arrivers are meeting for dinner.

A raffle or an auction, like last time?
We have never had an auction. Attending members will get a raffle ticket and we will have a drawing for items that members have donated to the muster. What do you have to donate for the drawing?

Im looking forward to collect my 4th Medallion from @rebel brit .
This is my temporary display until then.
