I'm English born but raised by a Scottish mother and an English father, my mother was raised by an Irish father and a Scottish mother, I have A Welsh wife so that makes my children, EngIrweltish as far as religion goes we remain confused.

I am 59% Scandinavian and 21 % British Isles. (Scottish and English). I believe the wikings raided Ireland. So yeah, I am Irish. It'll be a cold bloody day in Hades I wear a shamrock.

Britain often finds itself having to deal with bad situations caused by the Empire, I liked the last Prime Ministers reasoning,
David Cameron has defended his decision to stop short of delivering a formal British apology for the Amritsar massacre in 1919, in which at least 379 innocent Indians were killed. As relatives of the victims expressed disappointment, the prime minister said 'it would be wrong to "reach back into history" and apologise for the wrongs of British colonialism'.

Great isn't it, no reason given, just the fact that it would be wrong. Job done, another satisfied nation.

I think if the Danes can apologize it should be incumbent for the Brits to do so as well. I have apologized for anything I have done or anything my ancestors have done and anything I may do in the future. It made me feel a lot better. (Except for my Confederate DNA).

My mother's maiden name is Bryant and my uncle has Y DNA matched O'Brien's who lead back to a Breen in Ireland. So I'm at least part Irish.

My paternal Y DNA is U152 which originates 4400 years ago right at the heart of Halsttatt so I'll claim Continental Celtic culture too.

On that premise, since it applies to me, I proclaim Celts to be superior!
