The apron is in the Museum of the Confederacy. Here's what the Encyclopedia Virginia says about it:

What's interesting to me is the 7 star pattern which represented the 7 sisters, those original seceding states. It's a pretty rare design from what I have found and is the same as our old family quilt, always referred to as the Confederate Star, which was made by g-g grandmother in Louisiana during the early part of the war.
