Responses are obviously just each individual's opinion, mine included, but from what I understand the Lee family was quite impressed by his portrayal and gave extremely high praise when he spoke at Lee Chapel (Washington & Lee University) during the celebrations for Lee's 200th birthday. One member of the family reportedly said something like "now I feel like I know what it was like to see & hear my distant grandfather speak."
