I recently bought a CSA Sword. I believe it to be an 1840 musicians sword but all of them that I have seen do NOT have CSA on the guard. The gentleman I got it from lived in Richmond VA for a long time and had quite a collection, this is one of them. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance

Welcome from THE Heart Of Dixie. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this sword is a fake not even a repop as they are reproductions of items. This is a fantasy piece as there was never a CS sword like this.

Well I didn't pay a lot for it so all is good. Thank you for the information. Cheers everyone.

Fantasy collectible based on the 1840 NCO sword pattern. I remember these first started to surface in the latter 1980's or so..
