I picked up this bayonet up at a relic shop in Gettysburg over 35 years ago when I was a child.I was told it was a local find that was just brought in.I know it's not in too great of shape but would really like to know what type it is for curiosity. Thanks,Lee from NC

Interesting bayonet. The socket length and bore are consistent with the M1835/42 Musket but the notch in the front of the socket has be baffled.
