1808 Bayonet, US Mark?

I picked up this 1808-1812 in Gettysburg today, and I think I found a US mark. Its very small and tough to get a photo of. Does anyone know if this could be a US Army stamp? Sorry for the bad photo.

We need a lot more photos to decide. Hold the blade so the light shines ACROSS it. Shadows will show up any stamps far better. There must be more stamps on socket too.
