I don't know if my arbnb has a fridge. If we are in a hurry maybe we could stop at a sub place. I like Jimmy Johns. I don't know what they have in TN .

For those going to the NBF Boyhood Home on Friday. I talked to the caretaker there a couple of days ago. I told him that there will be at least a dozen of us there and our ETA is 8am. He reminded me that there is a $5 per person fee and they do have a gift shop too but they DO NOT have a credit card machine. He also said the hour/hour-and-a-half allotted time we have should be plenty of time.

I don't have any recommendations for Thursday lunch except grabbing something to go.

As for Friday, my plan is to be back in Murfreesboro before 11am and get lunch at the Kleer-Vu Lunchroom. We have to in the War Room at the hotel at Noon. It's a 10 minute drive from the Lunchroom to the hotel.

For those of you on the Columbia/SCV/Spring Hill side trip, here are a couple of suggestions for places to eat. I don't know how they may fit timing-wise, but I pass along for the good of the order.

First recommendation is Puckett's on the Columbia town square. It is pure Southern comfort dining -- and big. Opens at 7. I can personally vouch for it. Then there is 1819 Coffee in Thompson's Station. It is in the Homestead Manor in Thompson's Station. It has bakery items in addition to coffee of all kinds. The Homestead Manor, then known as the Banks' house, is a period mansion on the battlefield. In fact, it is the very site of young Alice Thompson's heroics.

I know the Live thread is still going but I'm not ready for this one to end either. I've got some material to add to this one as time permits over the next coupla weeks probably. The Thursday side-trip was a success. At least 3 people on the trip told me they had never been to any of the sites we visited in Columbia or Spring Hill and I know at least 2 others had never been to some of the sites we visited. That right there made the trip worthwhile and personally satisfying for me. I had already been to all 6 sites at least once but wanted to go again. That was a great day as was dinner that night.

Most of the furniture is original. The family cemetery is out in the yard.

Rose Hill Cemetery, a real gem. Brigadier General John Carter among others. Some of us lunched in Columbia and read of famous incident involving Nathan Bedford Forest on the plaque. Then it was off to Rippa Villa. No photography was allowed inside but there were very few furnishings. The historically important land across the street is being preserved by the American Battlefield Trust.
Lastly we visited Spring Hill Cemetery and hiked up the hill at Spring Hill Battlefield. Thanks @bdtex for an amazing day.

Good stuff. I was hoping someone would post pictures of Rose Hill Cemetery. I went there in November last year. After our group got there and found the Confederate monument and burial section, I wandered off to see what I could find that I didn't see last year. Glad you enjoyed that visit.

Those were great cemeteries. I know I took a picture of Sam Watkins grave at Zion Presbyterian. I'll add it when I find it. Thanks for taking us. It was a great day.
