1865 Spencer carbine conversion need help anyone ever see one

"conversion"? What does the address say on top of the receiver? Burnside Rifle Co. or a Boston, Mass stamping. That looks like the Model 1865 put out by both Spencer and Burnside companies. Show a better pic of the address on top of the receiver and we can tell you more.

Also, is there a MODEL 1865 on the top of the barrel just ahead of the receiver?
