1860 Spencer Carbine question

I recently bought an 1860 Spencer carbine Sn. 30449 from a very good friend. The serial number is in the SRS and it was issued to Co K of the 6th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry. The 6th Illinois Cavalry had a great service history and I once remember seeing here that someone had a book that showed which troopers they may have been issued to. If anyone has this book and could tell me if it lists a name that this carbine was issued to, I would greatly appreciate it.

There is a book on Sharps that list some info like you request, but I have not seen any similar for Spencer's. Look through the book listings at beginning of this Small Arms forum as it covers a lot, but not all.

You'll need someone to get into the Archives - there is no book that lists the name of the person who received a Spencer - the Sharps book that does this for Sharps is a one-of-a-kind book.
