An old favorite of my Granny was Tomato and Peach Preserves. It is a wonderful blend of two favorites of mine, the tomato and the peach. Yummy on toast, biscuits or an English muffin.

Tomato and Peach Preserves

24 large, peeled tomatoes
9 peeled and sliced peaches
3 cups sugar per 4 cups tomatoes
vanilla

Cook tomatoes and sugar in very large kettle slowly for 1 hour. Stir often with a wooden spoon. Add peaches and cool until thick. Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla. Pour into sterilized, hot, glass jars and seal.

Makes 6 to 8 jars.

You have given me something to think about with this one.I have never thought of these two fruits together but also mixing tomatoes with a lot of sugar.I can not think how this will taste but i'll try anything.
