Fried pies were always a treat my Granny made. One of my favorites was fried peach pie.

She make little pies for all us grandkids. I would always help.

Here is older recipe for fried peach pie.

Combine 4 cups sugar, 5 cups dried peaches, and water to cover. Cook down until tender. Mash peaches with masher, add sugar and let cool.
Use good pastry dough for the crust. Cut the dough about 5 by 8 inches. Place about 1/4 cup peaches in each crust and fold. Stick edges of crust together. Fry till brown in well greased skillet.
