Always love tomatoes and recipes with tomatoes. Our tomatoes are on the vine. This tomato jam is from my Granny's family. It was always a favorite.
Tomato Jam
4 1/2 pound ripe tomatoes, peeled
1 tablespoon broken cinnamon
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups vinegar
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cloves
Scald, peel and quarter tomatoes. Place in cooking pan and add sugar, vinegar and spices. Cook slowly till thickened and then put in jars.
