This old time recipe is from "Old Timey Recipes " collected by Phyllis Connor.

Pickled Peaches

"One pint cooked peach halves. To the syrup, add 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar, two 3 inch sticks of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon whole cloves, 1 teaspoon allspice. Boil 5 minutes. Add the peach halves and simmer for another 5 minutes. Chill in syrup several hours or overnight. Quick and easy and delicious with meats or on a party plate." page 21.
