Historical-Fiction
Watched a few minutes of "A Rebel Born." Shaky camera , terrible dialog and grade school quality acting. Thanks for posting this so I won't waste my time watching the whole thing. I guess there must be an audience for this or they would stop making them.
The budgets are about $10 dollars each. They can be bought for $7.99 on Wal-Mart. For these three, probably only one person would buy each, Clyde Wilson. Wilson would spend $23.97 for films costing a total of $30.00. So Christopher Forbes lost $6.03. A decent investment.

Only $9.00

Fun for the whole family!

Kill Calvary was the one I stopped watching. These things are rabidly pro-CSA, so be prepared for Yankees who burn churches!

Burn the popcorn and prepare the doggy bags:

These movies are kindof like the dvd equivalent of those old bumper stickers you could buy at the gift shops near Shiloh, etc.

The Confederate generals in the Forbes-ITN Civil War-verse remind me of "Ginral Jubilation T. Cornpone" from the comic strip Lil' Abner more than anything historical...

Jubilation T. Cornpone Song: Stubby Kaye, 1957: Youtube.

Even some resemblance in some of them:

This movie apparently has a scene where Forrest is "tricked" into joining the KKK, thinks it really is a CSA fanclub, suggests a black version o it, but his loyal ex-slave/Black Confederate warns him. I got this from a review, not from watching, but I'll verify myself when I'm feeling masochistic.

It appears to be based on the Lochlainn Seabrook's book of the same name. I never got if he was supposed to be a real person, because he says he's related to Davis, Stephens, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

Aha! I noticed on IMDB that that flick was written by Mr. Seabrook, and directed by Mr. Forbes. I noticed that Mr. Forbes appears to be the screen writer for the majority of the rest. More creative control no doubt!
