Inaccuracies? Whatever could you mean?I am feeling morbidly curious about these films, but my inner buff is telling me not to watch them due to their inaccuracies...

He kinda looks like Price, to be honest.Maybe an Abraham Buford or a William Peck, they were 300+ pounders but only brigadiers.
Well, atleast in "The Confederate", the guy playing Kilpatrick looks slightly more like him.@Albert Sailhorst @Polloco @RedRover @Stryker65 @7thWisconsin @10thMichiganInfantry I just tried to watch Kill Calvary. The battle scene is literally reenactors in jeans and modern glasses, not dying, sometimes in slo-mo, and one part is just lingering on Yanks throwing wood into the water.
Also an aggressively pro-CSA movie, where bad old Yankees burn churches for fun after promising not too. I understand Federals did not act decently all the time, but this is coming from a studio with a history of this kind of thing.
This is Kilpatrick, for its "accuracy":

Supposedly Clyde Wilson likes them. Considering he is rabidly unreconstructed he is the only person on Earth that would think these were good.

Anyways, the guy playing Sherman looks a little bit like Joe Johnston.

I laughed my butt off at the dog s--t quote when I read it on YT yesterday.Mr. Forbes' Civil War movies, at least the better reviewed ones, have lots of battle scenes, filmed at reenactments. At least that's what it looks like.
At the reenactment itself, the spectator might pay several bucks admission... and the principal context of the battle reenactment is that it is sandwiched between the port-o-johns and the funnel-cake stand. Mr. Forbes films have removed the "spectacle" of these reenactments from that context, and placed them within the context of his cinematic universe!
Some of the reviews from the comments of "Kill Cavalry" on Youtube:

So you see the port-0-johnnies and funnel cakes, though not visible in the film, reverberate through the action on screen!
Much like was said of Brady's photography at Antietam, as the comments above demonstrate, if the director has not brought reenactors and laid them in our dooryards and along the streets, he has done something very like it...
And he has done it by sparing every expense.
Of course, there's Mr. Scott's current project in theaters, which cost some 200 million to produce, and spared none... and might require admission of 20 bucks or so...

As for if Clyde Wilson likes ITN, I'm not sure about that considering I found a movie review article he put out on the Abbeville Institute, and he didn't list any of their films. https://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/a-southerners-movie-guide-part-iv/

OK - **** it, Janet! I could be persuaded to watch it again if my friends brought water pistols and threw toast at the screen. These could become cult movies like "little house of horrors" or the "Rocky horror picture show".![]()
Wait...they're REAL actors?!Great point on General Kilpatrick' mutton chops from "The Confederate" 2018!
Thats' Brad Owen, who in fact also played him in "Kill Cavalry," but with a beard...
The evident explanation is, within the ITN Civil war movie-verse, would be that in the Confederate, set during the Atlanta Campaign of 1864, Gen. Kilpatrick had mutton chops...

and in "Kill Cavalry" (2021) set in the Carolinas in 1865... he has grown a beard from hard campaigning...

The gentleman playing Gen. Sherman in "The Confederate" and "American Confederate" is Parker Stevenson, who played "Billy" the Berdan Sharpshooter in North and South, Book II back in the day... Here he is at left, with Michael "American Ninja" Dudikoff:

ALL of their Civil War movies are comprised of shoddy Civil War reenactments with reenactors that should bake cookies instead of fight battles! The battle scene is literally reenactors in jeans and modern glasses, not dying, sometimes in slo-mo
I've seen Star Wars fan films with bigger and better battle scenes. Literally! You NAILED it when you said

I don't like Clyde. His hatred of "Yankees" is 4-year-old caliber. I am a Southerner and I'm offended. I like Livingston, though. Don't always agree with him but he's at least professional.Clyde is on a roll
Watched a few minutes of "A Rebel Born." Shaky camera , terrible dialog and grade school quality acting. Thanks for posting this so I won't waste my time watching the whole thing. I guess there must be an audience for this or they would stop making them.@Polloco @Stryker65 @RedRover @10thMichiganInfantry @Kurtlg
Fun for the whole family!
Kill Calvary was the one I stopped watching. These things are rabidly pro-CSA, so be prepared for Yankees who burn churches!
