Historical-Fiction
There's some guy named Christopher Forbes who makes low-budget CW movies. He was responsible for A Rebel Born, a notoiously pro-Forrest movie where he's "tricked" into joining the KKK.

But what's funny is the bizarre actors he chooses to play characters. For example, THIS is Hood in The Burning of Atlanta:

Well, he must've been a shape-shifter.

And then General Samuel Cooper in A Rebel Born:

And then Longstreet in Hampton's Legion:

What?

Have any of you seen these? I have not.
Now I don't mean to offend, but has anybody thought that perhaps it's Sterling Pap Price's old uniform? They wouldn't have to adjust the dimensions at all...

@Albert Sailhorst @Polloco @RedRover @Stryker65 @7thWisconsin @10thMichiganInfantry I just tried to watch Kill Calvary. The battle scene is literally reenactors in jeans and modern glasses, not dying, sometimes in slo-mo, and one part is just lingering on Yanks throwing wood into the water.

Also an aggressively pro-CSA movie, where bad old Yankees burn churches for fun after promising not too. I understand Federals did not act decently all the time, but this is coming from a studio with a history of this kind of thing.

This is Kilpatrick, for its "accuracy":

Supposedly Clyde Wilson likes them. Considering he is rabidly unreconstructed he is the only person on Earth that would think these were good.

The ITN company seems to give a great deal of leeway to its "independent" filmmakers, and brags about it. In other words, they'll distribute just about any flick. I reckon if some were to make other Civil War flicks for about the same amount of money, with alternative viewpoints, etc., they might get them in the ITN lineup too.

While not as far out as say, "Curse of the Cannibal Confederates," etc., there seems to be generally the "exploitation film" quality about them and much of the ITN catalog:

And by lurid content, in the case of these Civil War movies, we might include gratuitous battle reenactment footage, including tennis shoes, modern sunglasses, etc.

This is, after all, the studio that distributes "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey."

The director Chris Forbes is branching out. I see on IMDB his latest film is a WW2 bomber picture. Also co-starring Mr. Wylie, featured in the original post... as British Vice Air Marshal Wilkins!

When films are so bad that they are good, you are talking Plan 9 From Outer Space, Manos the Hands of Fate, plus other B movies mocked by MST3K. Mostly sci-fi or about weird societies/relationships.

When it comes to mocking history, there is no love lost. For me it's either do it right or don't do it. The one exception is Lincoln: Vampire Slayer. (not sure why).

I wonder how his British accent is ? Are they going to show actual WW2 bombers ? Obviously this guy will stay on the ground.

You can check it out. Here's the trailer:

Thousand Plane Raid (2023): ITN: Trailer: YOUTUBE

Can't really tell by the trailer, but there is either a flying model Spitfire, or some airshow footage...
Well outside of bad acting , bad accents and a pilot in a nonhistoric "uniform" sitting in a closet I'm sure it will be just fine. I could have loaned them some model planes .

Indeed. That flick is "THE Thousand Plane Raid" with Christopher George from 1969. ITN's newest is just, "THOUSAND Plane Raid."
I'd like to see ITN remake The Battle of Britain and The Battle of the Bulge. They couldn't possibly make those 1960s clunkers any less dull.
