I think it was the June 1964 issue on caverens that there was a slight blurb in Missouri I think that in a cave was found a skeleaton from the Ciivl war with a 1859 pistol. Confirmed or not?

It sounds a reasonable possibility, although I haven't read the article mentioned. Missouri is known for numerous caves. I knew a man who boasted that the cave on his property was the only cave in the state that Jesse James had not hidden in.
