Yes, I love the stories about Mary Lee where she's shown to be this interactive, caring woman, delighting in everyday things- like tomatoes. She's so frequently just Robert E Lee's wife, a poor, dried up, sick old woman that she's been written off as uninteresting when she was a hugely interesting woman, full of life, talent and humor. Her illness really wore at her, dreadfully painful, probably caused by pills prescribed to her for something else.
