Looking for family

My gg grand father, James M Anders was supposed to be in the 44th Mississippi Rifle, Amite Rangers.
I found his records in FOLD3. There is a James M. Anders age 18 when he enlisted on 22 Nov 1861 in Natchez. He was in Captain Huff's company or Company "K".
It wasn't long before he was reported sick and then discharged. There is a letter dated 13 June 1862 that says he suffered from rheumatism and disease of the bowels.

Here are 2 records. (I'm having trouble Attaching one service card. Let's see if this works.)

Arrgh. I can't get that file to Attach.

The 44th Mississippi Regiment is referred to as Blythe's Regiment Mississippi Volunteers.

PS. There were more ANDERS in the Company K--- possibly brothers or cousins:

Harper B. (Age 17).
Sick in Hosp in Memphis at 1st Roster.
Present March to June
Died of disease @ Enterprise Miss

E. H. — Died July 16, 1862

William H. (Age 35). "Discharged since muster"
Discharged July 3, 1863.

William W. (Age 18). Sick. Died July 1, 1862 @ Lauderdale Springs
Another card said he Died June 20, 1862.

I've visited that Confederate Cemetery at Lauderdale Springs and at Enterprise. The latter was the site of a Texas Hospital.
Your ancestor and William H. Anders were the lucky ones who survived. Check the 1860 Census for these names in the same household or same county. Be sure to add those who didn't survive to your family tree.

I checked 1850 Census and 1860 Census for Mississippi only. There were two large families living next door in Amite county.

Arrgh. I can't upload these images.
I found a William M. Anders, age 10 in 1850 Census.
And a Harper Anders age 14 and a James age 14 both sons of Adam P. Anders in 1860 Census.

My gg grand father, James M Anders was supposed to be in the 44th Mississippi Rifle, Amite Rangers. Is there any way I can get proof of this? Any help would greatly appreciated. ><> del

I have a 2G grandfather who served the CSA in the east and was hospitalized twice, once for "rheumatism" when he was in his in his early 20s. I did some research on medical terminology of that era and found that "rheumatism" often referred to rheumatic fever which was not uncommon in the ranks.
