Gonna have to do a little research, this biography states he succeeded David Peter Lewis in the Confederate Congress. Another states it was a Thomas Fearn that he replaced. My guess it was Fearn who died on January 16, 1863 but was born in 1789 and did resign from the Confederate Congress in April 1861.
