I've been doing some reading on the Battle of Jonesborough. I have to say, for a guy who only had been a Colonel for a month, Green was a superb regimental commander, and seemed to do well commanding the remnants of Govan's Brigade there and then at Bentonville.
I wonder if anyone does a dedicated book on Jonesborough, if someone manages to dig up a family photo of Colonel Green.
