Helped U.S. Marshal Wiley Standifer attempt to arrest John Tallos​
Virgil Earp Shot John Tallos thru the head, killing Tallos.​

Unlike his brother Wyatt , Virgil spent a large amount of his life as a lawman . Wyatt spent more time as a gambler ( and a few other less reputable occupations) than he did a lawman , but he was a good friend of Bat Masterson who claimed Wyatt was the bravest man he ever knew .
