Does anyone recognize who this might be?

This really bugs me because I feel like I recognize him. I'm going to have to try to track him down.

I agree and have wracked my brain for names to throw into a Google search or the Library of Congress. Nuthin'! Sometime someone will put a name to that face.

Why the image existed in my memory: a photo just like it appears in Thunder Across The Swamp by Donald Frazier.

I bow to your expertise. Numerous times. Duh. Well, that explains why he looked familiar! (And to think I was planning to re-read it this summer in preparation for this year's Jefferson symposium!)

Imagine finding this gentleman adorning a coffee shop! That is so very neat. I always check out photos in cafes and little joints - it's truly surprising who showed up where. Ernie, our little burg's (in)famous greasy spoon, has photos of a lot of stars of by-gone days. Nobody knows they used to be regulars - coming up for hunting and fishing vacations. Like the Forrest-Cumming House in the historical district. Yes - that Forrest's cousin and that Cumming, who raised Stonewall!
