Don't you remember, they were called "Sugar Pops " and "Sugar Crisp" before they changed the names to Corn Pops and Rice Crisp.also how about Sugar Frosted Flakes.

Like Sugar Frosted Flakes. I have box now and have for breakfast.

I never thought about Sugar Crisp using Joshua Fought The Batlle Of Jericho as the music until you mentioned it. The chorus is somewhat similar to The Hall of the Mountain King.

I think the name was changed in the 1980s.

If you can't find candy corn there, I will be happy to follow sweet Nitro's lead and send you some. Though I'd feel guilty if the kids really loved it, and I got them hooked on American cr*p.

I was watching a vlog on YouTube yesterday by a French woman who was talking a bit about their culture. She mentioned sugar and how they really didn't grow up with a lot of it. And now, as an adult, she finds most treats too sweet for her.

It got me to thinking about all the sugar that's likely hidden in our classic American diet. I remember our breakfast cereals and soft drinks when I was young. I wonder how much sugar I ingested back then without even realizing it.

When I was a toddler, my grandmother used to dip a small slice of toast into her cup of tea and then place it in a bowl of sugar, so as a baby, I was basically sucking on sugar, thanks gran for the diabetes. Oh yeah, and thanks mum for putting whisky in my night time milk, I'm sure it gave her a peaceful night but it played havoc with my liver. I was pretty much a trembling hyperactive alcoholic by the time I was three months old.

As for the sugar toast, that must be how they get you guys hooked on tea. Our version is Cinnamon Sugar Toast: Buttered toast with ~ surprise! ~ cinnamon and sugar. This was one of the first things you'd get if you were sick with a cold, or recovering from a flu-like illness.

My grandmother would make me some toast with a lot of fresh cream butter on it and then pour honey all over it.it was sticky and made a mess but it was great,I think of it 70 years later still.

They say he is still illustrated on the box. Too weird for me, and it shows my age for sure.
