Colonel Dibrell was one of Forrest's chief subordinates in Late 1862-1863. He would go on to lead his Tennessee Brigade in the Tullahoma, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Atlanta and Savannah Campaigns, before being given command of Kelly's old division during the Carolina Campaign

I'm assuming you mean John Herbert Kelly, who was mortally wounded at Franklin (not the battle of Franklin)That would place him in Humes' Division in Wheeler's Corps at the end of the war.
