Danville Rifle?

Recently I was doing a little research on the Battle of Droop Mountain, West Virginia and going through the roster of the 20th Virginia Cavalry in Richard Armstrong's 19th and 20th Virginia Cavalry I noticed mention of a Danville Rifle. At some point between 7/1/63 and 11/1/63, Private James Rodgers Leach of Co. K, 20th Virginia Cav. "lost a Danville Rifle".
I suspect that this may be a reference to the Reed and Watson rifle, the Hall Rifle converted to muzzleloader. Any information or opinions on this?

There was also a notation of a soldier in the same company who "lost a Mississippi Rifle".

Story, The Maynard/Perry looks like a good possibility.
Maybe another possibility could be the Bilharz, Hall, and Co. muzzle loading carbine made at Pittsylvania Courthouse not far from Danville.
Whatever the rifle or carbine was, ammunition supply for confederates in the mountains of West Virginia must have been a challenge.

I just took another glance at the roster of the 20th and found another lost rifle. My eyes are getting too old and I miss things if I don't go slow.
Private Robert Ailstock, also of Co K, "lost Sharps rifle". It seems that probably carbines were being referred to as rifles.
The men of Co K, 20th Virginia Cavalry had a problem with losing things.
