I used their free subscribition to find one newspaper,but I feel their monthly price is too much.

I do, too. If the cost was lower I would probably subscribe. But not for another $10/month charged at 6-month intervals.

Yes, or any other general information for the uninitiated.

Search a variety of ways. Use quotation marks around different phrases. If looking for regiments, be sure to try all combinations...Twenty-second Kentucky, 22nd Kentucky, 22d Kentucky, 22nd KY, 22d KY, etc. Also search with names of battles or locations or men.

The more you can vary your search parameters the better results you'll have.

Make a list of what you are looking for and go to it.you then can download it to a file and go over it at your liesure.
