Any hints about 2024 Muster?

I'm dying to go to Vicksburg. Any early agenda hints?
I don't believe anyone has stepped up as QM to get the planning going. I can't speak for anyone else on the QM Staff last year but I can't commit to serve in that capacity this year. The 2019 Muster was at Vicksburg.

Presumably this year will be out west since the musters usually alternate years east-west. Shiloh, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, and Stones River & Franklin have already been covered, I think?

The other big question is what battlefield has someone who can step up as lead organizer. Wilson's Creek / Pea Ridge / Prairie Grove would be a great idea but I don't think anyone from CWT lives close enough to organize it.

IIRC, there was some strong interest in Charleston & Savannah last year. That is arguably Western Theater, by some definitions.

Mobile & Pensacola could be interesting, and probably one of the less expensive options.

The Overland Campaign and the Petersburg Campaign are probably the most prominent possibilities in the east.

The Maryland Lighthouse Challenge got postponed again so that opens up my fall vacation plans. Depending where the muster is I might attend.

Has Charleston become a "Tourist Trap"? The SCV is having a reunion there in July and things and sights seem awful expensive.
I think so. I have already been there. Like Savannah I think it would be hard to get van loads of people to the sights. I walked both cities when I visited. There are so many CW places with less expensive lodging too.

I thought this one would be in the western theater. What about the smaller battles near Shiloh and Vicksburg? And Grierson's raid.
The 202 CWT Muster was at Shiloh and the 2019 was at Vicksburg---which was a little bit under the weather.

I have always wanted to see some places around Atlanta. There are so many to see so maybe it is time for a return to that area.

If we did some of the places in that area the folks that have not been to Shiloh or Vicksburg could extend their trips. I did the Atlanta campaign last spring. A muster could be made of the area between Atlanta and Dalton.
