Large photo of a rather young looking brigadier general but unfortunately I don't know who he is. Searched several general photos but no luck. However it is a strong possibility that he was from New York. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You are correct. Its an early charcoal drawing but still a great likeness of who ever it is.
