1862 – 1864: Served at Confederate States Navy Charleston Station​
1863 – 1864: Served on C.S.S. Patrick Henry
1864 – 1865: Passed Midshipman for Confederate States Navy​
1865: Captured at the Battle of Sailor's Creek, Virginia​
1865: Prisoner of war held by Union Army at Johnson's Island Prison​
