Any ideas on what I could use to fashion a repro ramrod head to the other end of my repro sponge?

Does not have one. I took a dowel rod, wrapped it with a white sponge to replicate a sponge. Just need the other end to look right.

Wow...that's awfully generous of you. The rod is about 1 3/4 inches wide.
