Ive acquired a Colt Special 1861 in great shape. Ive owned one before but not this nice. The only thing that has stumped me is the ramrod. I cant find any pictures online to reference but it looks like a typical straight non swelled tulip ramrod typical of Colt. But it lacks a sub inspector mark which ive seen on my previous Colt Special. I am also curious if the threads look original. Do you all think this is a period correct Colt issued ramrod?

I have a Colt 1861 Special Model, and I pulled the ramrod out to compare. The threaded end on mine has more threads, looks to be a different pitch than the one on yours. Also, the walls on the hollow end where it would contact the minie ball are noticably thinner on mine.

I then pulled the ramrod from my regular Model 1861 and the threads on it match the one on my Colt.

Could you send a couple photos as a reference?
