Sorry the weather was bad. 3 inches of rain this time of year is kinda rare. Traffic should have been light I hope.

That looks like the rain during the confederate retreat by all descriptions.

Has been raining hard, but we got nothing like this "up" here. Thanks for this visual. Pretty interesting to think about the battlefield full of bodies and water on July 4th...

Yeah - reminds me of the 135th Shiloh ("Mudlo") where the Confederate camps floated away!

Well, I hope they at least saw the Visitor Center and First Day Museums and maybe the Wills House and that the rain lets up for tomorrow! That's what happened a year ago when I visited last:

Sorry you got rained out. The first time I visited Shiloh I could not get out of my car because of heavy rain.

It doesn't take much rain to close the road up Culp's Hill or the Slaughter Pen. Happens at least once or twice every year. But I am sorry it messed up your visit.
