Manassas Tour.

I hope you guys are right. National Weather Service is saying it'll be cold, probably below freezing through the end of next week. Even General Jackson's Army was allowed to huddle by the fire in this. We'll see.

Yeah and there will be a foot of snow there also. Beginning to look unfavorable to me as much as I hate to say it.

I've realized through this thread that weather.com's long term forecasting is terr-i-ble. Been looking at NWS and following the advice of someone I know who is a weather junky, it's not looking good after all.

Well, folks. Having some surgery last week has caused me to take a 2nd look
at the snow-ice tromp. Y'all feel free to proceed without me this time and I'll catch up
on the next one. Rain, sleet, snow here now and calling for 6-8 inches.

I hope you are doing well in your recovery.

Thanks a lot. It was replacing my pacemaker. It is still a bit tender and am told to refrain from
left soldier activity. So. There it is. Can't stand a fall seeing as how my legs are not like they used
to be. And some of the meds keep me off balance. I am told and now believe, getting old ain't for sissy's.

Although the first pacemaker got me through 10 years of tromping the battlefields, and hope the new one does that same.!! :giggle::dance:

I was actually thinking about just delaying again. It'll be the right temperature on Saturday, but nothing is melting tomorrow so it'll be a mess over the weekend. It'd be a waste, IMO, to go and to be extremely confined in doing so. Drew, Bill, Nick, what do you guys think?

Sorry that you're out of action for a bit, Marshall, but hope and pray for a speedy recovery.

I wouldn't have had a problem if the ground just wasn't slicked up by Mother Nature! But, after all, Spring is around the corner.

I drove seven hours through the snow storm home today. That's enough excitement for one week, thank you. I vote to let this sucker melt and put Reb up on point were he belongs. If you all will toss out a few Spring dates, I'm on board. Shouldn't be long now (so says the weatherman).

More stressful than exciting, actually. Two hundred twenty five miles down I-95, covered with snow, slush and ice. I can do without more of that. Honestly though, you see vehicles with plates from Michigan or Maine and you breathe a sigh of relief. They know what they're doing.

It's the ones from Georgia and Florida that put the fear of God in you - give them a wide berth and hope for the best. I made it home. 'Nuff said.
