It's that time of year again...!! The annual Lee-Jackson Day events will kick off January 17th & 18th. The Stonewall Brigade SCV Camp will mark this years event as our 26th annual celebration in Lexington. This will surely be another great event this year. I look forward to seeing some of y'all again this year...! If you've never been, or experienced this event, you should at least once.

Friday's symposium will feature Bobby Krick, Jonathan White, & Bill Potter. There will be refreshments, & vendors on display from 12:30 to 5pm. On Saturday we will gather at Jackson's gravesite for our annual service, followed by the parade through downtown Lexington. Our keynote speaker on Saturday is Jeffery Addicott, followed by a catered luncheon.

After the luncheon on Saturday, there will be a brick laying ceremony at Lee Jackson Park. For those of who have been to the park, you'll quickly notice we've been busy..! There are multiple new monuments on display :cool:Saturday evening, there will be a Gala fundraiser for Lee Jackson Memorial Park. The Gala will include a catered meal, period music & dance.

See you soon..!

I so wish I could be there but I'm afraid that now it's just too far for me to do. I have family history in Lexington and those folks knew the Jacksons (and are buried not far from Jackson's first grave).

The program sounds really good. I hope it's well attended and all you hope it to be.

Your humble servant,

JWM

Another fantastic Lee-Jackson Day event in the books. We had a solid turnout considering the poor weather.

I was really impressed with our keynote speaker, Dr Jeffrey Addicott. Wow. A great guy, and a very effective communicator. Received many compliments on his presentation. He had brought some copies of his latest book Trampling Union Terror.... He sold out in a matter of minutes. His presentation is still viewable on our facebook page here: Dr Jeffrey Addicott

So far, the videos from the event have collectively received over 60,000 views.

Sure missed our Alabama contingency this year. Hope to see y'all again next year..!

Thank you to our sponsors, & those who made the trek to celebrate with us..!
