If Lincoln survived his assassination attempt, and somehow made a full recovery, what would have happened? @ColonelBuckwalter said something about Lincoln already being sick with fibromas in his brain, so if he had been sick with that, how long do you think he would have been able to live? If he successfully finishes his 2nd term, would he pull an FDR and ran for a 3rd?

What I said was a friend who is a doc said, so I must have come off sound like I know more than I do, was talking about fibromas. But he said that starts at a young age.

Think he would have desired to see his plan thru completion. Might have required a third term? If so, would he have the support to win a third time?

All in all, suspect he would have done exactly what Mary Todd told him to do.
