Actually I have Civil War relatives in all three branches. However reality is fact. I'm not wealthy enough for a Cav. Unit. I hated math and trigonometry, so artillery is not an option. But I'm pretty good with a rifle. So yeah, I would have been in an Infantry Company ... by default.

As to which side I would be fighting on ... That would be several decades ago. Right now (since I have aged somewhat), I would be a quartermaster or the armorer.
