Homemade curved blade

Found at the cavalry area site. Pretty rusted and layered. Is this a bushcraft blade or rather a tool for wheat/ tobacco? Age range? I wouldn't think it was a soldiers knife considering the size of it.

It is likely that you have what is called a "mincing blade." That explains the rounded tip & oddly shaped handle.

The blade is used by holding it with both hands & rocking it side to side through meat, herbs & vegetables to create a mixture of minced ingredients. The result can be formed into meatballs or sausage patties.

thanks everyone , I'm going to try to get it clean and see if a makers mark on it , I'm sure it's pitted
 
Looks just thinner than that 1000 year old petrified Viking poop💩 they recently discovered in England. Man them Vikings were big guys!
