Help to identify a pistol

Hello All,
I've been posting some photos from a local antique shop. A few items are labeled as Civil War but I'm not sure that they are. This pistol doesn't look like anything that I've seen in the few books that I have. There are no markings visible. This is the only photo that I have for now. Does this look familiar to anyone?

Looking at the protruding 'bolts' securing the trigger guard, I'm going to guess that might be a Spanish copy.
