It is time to make Gingerbread Boys or as some say Gingerbread Men. They are always enjoyed in my family.

An old recreated recipe for them from my Grandmother:

1/2 cup shortening or butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

Preheat oven to 370 degrees. Combine the ingredients and roll batter to desired thickness. Cut out with cookie cutter. Decorate eyes and mouth with raisins. Place on cookie sheet and bake for about 10 minutes..Enjoy and Happy Holidays.

I'm going to the grocery store today and get some ingredients. I don't care if they end up shaped like little men or not, I want to eat em with a glass of milk!
