We just got back late last night and this is the first I've looked at CWT since we left over three weeks ago (I'm old world enough not to travel with a "devices").
Gettysburg was all I had hoped for having wanted to see it for decades now. And I really enjoyed meeting all who I was able to connect with and the tours we did with
@cash and
@Eric Wittenberg. The only disappointment was that I somehow missed a number of y'all even though I was at both the evening get-togethers and the book signing. Maybe you knew what I looked like and just made sure you avoided me ! Some of you I only met out on the battlefield because you identified yourselves when you saw my Civil War Trust t-shirt. My wife commented how nice a bunch of folks y'all are and she's right; a wonderful group that I'm most happy and honored to be a part of.
I even got presents ! Two that were really special were the wonderful bottle of Shiraz that
@PeterT brought me all the way from Australia and the .58 Minie bullet that
@48th Miss. sent me care of
@FarawayFriend that he collected on family property many years ago. I also got to finally meet Andrea and Dirk and that was one of the real highlights of the trip. She's just as delightful in person as on line.
When the wife gets her photos processed I may post a few but who know how long that'll take. She's got thousands.
Lot's to do now that I'm back in the "real" world. Thanks again everybody and especially to
@War Horse for the great job you did making this happen.
