I too like seeing where our noteworthy generals are buried. Here are some that are at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis.

Bellefontaine & Calvary are two of my favorite cemeteries to visit whenever in St. Louis. Very many noteworthy graves to visit & well kept grounds.
Yes there are, i had no idea before my first visit there how many famous or well known people, from all walks of life are there. Samuel Hawken the famous frontiersman and inventor of the Hawkens rifle is there and has a really cool tombstone, also William Clark of Lewis and Clark fame. Cant forget Dredd Scott whose famous court case was a kinda catalyst for the whole war over slavery issue.
Thanks mt155, neat thread.

Thanks for the pictures. I've got great grandparents buried at Bellefontaine. Another interesting couple of guys buried there are Joseph Lawrence and Jordan W. Lambert who invented and marketed Listerine. A classic place.

only in America can you wage war against the government and have such beautiful monuments I have to say I really liked the first picture.
