I'm not sure we need so many major sites as a lot of in-depth studies of the sites we have. A LOT went on at these places, more than can be comprehended by just an overview. I, at least, like in-depth studies.

I have a 2025 recommendation and allow the west to take charge. CWT could just have a party say in Tunica or wherever. Survival will be about planning, and not everything has to revolve about a battle. Lets get the Union and the South conjoined. There are a lot of battles both sides hate. Right now like as myself, I have family both sides. My wife is Generals both sides. Maybe 2025 should be a meeting without a battlefield and instead meet and greet. And then Party or whatever.

there are many major sites when it was your relative lost a arm, leg or life.... It was major to them.

now if we could just get @Sbc to commit to Charleston in 2027 and everyone agrees with these, wouldn't that be fantastic!!!

I asked him about doing it this year as it was the top second choice. They say it's expensive but it is a wonderful location. I am going to give him two more pings. Anything after October 10 will be a muster stopper for QM here.

Not only can many of the major battles be explored in greater depth, but many people on CWT now or in a few years we're not here 5 or 10 years ago so could not have attended the previous muster. Or they were here, but scheduling issues / personal life stuff meant they could not attend the first time around.

The thing is we can agree to meet and have a blast this year and it does not have to involve cannonballs. Since 2025 is a bit unproductive as people are not jumping up with organizing... lets just gamble and party as a group? We can go out back and watch the reenactment of something but what the heck. How many members are there here on this site? This will be huge. CWT casino and whatever. It will be huge

Savannah …Long weekend in early October and I'm not running it. Like an extended meet and greet. Hurricane season would almost be over.

Like a CW flash rave where we all just show up and take over a bar or two. Maybe dress up and go with ***** contests of wild and wacky things we have done. It's called rapport and is great to do in the field with your brother or sister who is handling black powder. Scholar "arm chair"guys have plenty of knowledge to share with us grunts. A mingling of the movement so to speak. I won't be speaking but sipping if the time is right. And that would be a VACATION from all "the guts and gore" we will be simulating.
So we have two offers: Dead Fred (it used to be) & or CW flash rave. Both would be cool if Charleston is not in play.

So no dressing up? Dang it. A convention sounds very pricey but if time was right perhaps. It would not be like the rendezvous I was thinking about. Pistol twirling and sipping …sounds more serious than a muster.

They have an Ohio CW show coming up soon but not in fall
