7th North Carolina Cavalry Regiment...I believe that would be the 16th Battalion up in Richmond with Dearing and Roberts. Wonder if he joined the regiment before Appomattox.

My parents and I were in Asheville, North Carolina back in the summer of 2003 and we stayed in a B&B in Weaverville that had been a hospital during the war to treat the wounded. Can't remember the name of it. Hope they're still in business

Robert L. Coleman was the Colonel of the 8th North Carolina Cavalry or the 79th North Carolina Infantry, Col John T. Kennedy was the Colonel for the 7th North Carolina Cavalry or the 75th North Carolina Infantry.
