I would think it would be made for a table setting. Twelve is a Thanksgiving gathering crowd. I would be very careful who I served. Thanks for responding.

Probably not the plates, which are the usual gold-rimmed 8"-10" "decorator" plates that usually have warnings about putting food on them or into the dishwasher or microwave.
