OK. Been a lot on here this past 2 weeks bout pistols, sabres, rifles, knives, Bowie knives, etc....and the merits of each. Very good stuff and a great read. NOW..........you chose just ONE weapon from the Civil War that you want with ya. Just 1...as in one. What do you want when push comes to shove? I mean it...what do you want if yer life depends on it? Pick em. Now, I expect some jokes and that is fine. We are here to have fun. Kinda. No problem. Personally, I would like an M-60 machine gun...but is not a Civil War weapon. M-1 fine....dont count. Get it. I will wait to make MY pick after I see how the flow is going cause I am a craven SOB that likes to hold back until I see the drift. Yup. Heh. Can get creative...an officer can be yer weapon (good one), yer horse, ya know. :smug: Humor me. Lonely. And by the way...have a nice Memorial Day. It is significant in my world. Take care.

Spencer winning. Could this be too easy? What if I got a rifle musket? Kill him before he in Spencer range. What If I got a 12 pounder....blasting canister....why I need a Spencer if I got em dead to rights?

I'm getting Forrest! (Since we can have an officer...) :D
Yes.....a good officer is a weapon. Indeed. Can keep ya outta tight situations where ya got em on the run and no need fer the close in stuff. Just a thought. Good horse aint bad either...in a tight spot. Full suit of steel armor...heh...not bad. Heavy.

Now Doug, regards the 12 pounder, would not the horses and crew count for more than one weapon, if so I will repick and take Hancocks core from Gettysburg.:D

Enough said!

hmm well, that would be a tough choice. I would have to say my Henry, or my favorite weapon as a reenacted officer of Infantry..........MY COMPANY!!! As a foot officer that is my primary weapon........and a handy one it is too!!

I like the idea of multiple shots...probably a Colt Army...could be used to pistol whip when empty...
Officer...I've always thought Emory Upton was underrated
