Discussion Button shining forks.

Before and after the Civil War soldiers and militiamen would have needed button shining forks. I am not sure Civil War soldiers would have needed this type of device in the field. Perhaps during the Civil War button forks would have only been found in the possession of garrison troops. I don't think the design of button shinnng forks would have changed much from per Civil War to post Civil War.
