burnside carbine data

Hey guys where can i guy find info on my burnside carbine ser # 10090 like what unit it was issued if possible Thanks
Thanks for posting but we don't provide info without photos, also the Burnside is a weapon that has 5 different models and some have the same serial # so please post the makers marks as well. Looking forward to seeing your Burnside.
 
burnside 4th model carbine ser #10090 looking for info was this issued to a unit?? There are two faint oval GC Cartouches on left small of stock Any help much Appreciated!

The last paragraph of that write-up about post-war government sales (nearly all of them, 23,000 plus) were sold to two dealers in 1901, 36 years after the War was over. When the Civil War centennial arrived 60 years later, many of these were still in the crate, and old time collectors will tell of buying them in new condition for eight or ten dollars at Bannerman's New York store.
 
I appreciate the contributions of those with expertise on the Burnside. Although the Spencer is often the "sexy" choice for Union cavalry units, my GGG grandfather probably had a Burnside while behind a fence at Gettysburg.
