Why, oh why, is Bruce Catton's revered trilogy, The Army of the Potomac, out of print??!!

Perhaps because the publishing company wasn't making enough money with all the used copies available on sites like Amazon. You can get a used set ("very good" condition) for $17, which includes shipping, but can pay as little as $5.50. Just sayin'...

I found his Army of the Potomac trilogy for a couple bucks at a yard sale a few years ago, and his Centennial history trilogy - The Coming Fury, etc. - at a used book store for another buck. They all looked as if they'd never been opened! Yard sales have given me a great library. Got Sears' Gettysburg for a quarter - perfect condition.

I did go through my books a year or so back. Amazing amount that I never read, or read once. And I was one of those guys who saved all of his textbooks from college. I gave them to my local library.
